Their wedding marks the 2nd Egyptian Orthodox (or Coptic) ceremony we’ve had the honor of filming and we’re so excited to follow it up with more!
Coptic ceremonies are filled with music, beauty, and ancient traditions dating to the 1st Century AD and the church’s founding by the Apostle Mark the Evangelist.
They are also quite different in their encouragement of filming and photography from other traditional Christian ceremonies. We were encouraged by the priests to move about regularly and capture the best angles possible, up to and including being immediately next to the priests on the dais.
Their reception was equally breathtaking, and along with the belly dancers, breathtaking scenery, fog cannon, and amazing music, made for an absolutely enchanting day to film.
This is definitely one for the books!
