Melisa and George at Mission Inn
George and Melisa had been together for about 10 years before they got married. As such, the pressure they encountered during their wedding day was nominal.
They definitely still had butterflies (George turned around too quickly for the first look and we barely had enough time to turn our cameras on!) but they manifested in the form of laughs and smiles. It was a joyous occasion to film, and we were incredibly honored to capture the day.
Our being based out of Mt. Dora, we are a stone’s throw from Howey-in-the-Hills FL (yes, that IS the real name of the town), but this was our first time filming at the breathtaking Mission Inn Resort.
The venue is run by a professional, friendly, accommodating, team who not only tended to the needs of the bride and groom, but also made sure that the photographer and we were able to get the breathaking shots we needed to get. We will always give bonus points to any venue that provides a six-seater golf cart to chauffeur us around in.
Whenever we arrive on site to film a wedding, we treat all the other vendors like a team. In order for any team to work well, a solid team leader is key, and Amanda Borrero of For the Love of Events fits that role perfectly. We’ve worked with her on many occasions and we even offer a special discount to clients who book with her! If you’re still in the market for a planner, all the proof of her credentials are in the video above. She and her company made every detail of Melisa and George’s wedding absolutely perfect!
